Mrs. Fisher is partnering with The Music Shoppe for a BEGINNING BAND NIGHT on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm. All 5th & 6th grade students interested in starting a band instrument are encouraged to attend. Join us in the Band Room to test out instruments and get information on purchasing or renting your instrument.

*Any student wishing to "switch instruments" should plan to attend the beginning band night as well. Switching instruments will not be allowed until the student has attended the band night and tried out their new instrument preference.*
Questions to Consider When Picking an Instrument:

Can I see myself playing this instrument for a year or more?

How much effort/work do I want to put into learning my instrument? Do I want to make a good sound right away or can I be patient while learning to make a good sound?

Am I willing to play an instrument that my teacher suggests?

Do I want to be in band and choir? Or just one?

How much will this instrument cost? How much will maintenance cost?

Are my parents able to transport my instrument (think percussion, tuba)? I am able to transport it myself?
